This a run through on trying steelhead muddler on a size 4 hook.
weight added to body, minnow belly dubbing(muddlers have a pearl belly), red deer hair for underwing, guinea or grizzly hackle tips for over wing, and spun deer hair for the head. trim it down into a tight head.

This is a black and purple, again very basic, steelhead flies.
I see lots of very technical patterns out there, but i would like to start simple and see avoid stress.

this is my first season steelhead fishing, or will be anyways. this is a very basic purple and blue pattern that do well in oregon.
using marabou, ostrich herl, polar bear dubbing, sparkle braid, and if you have it purple or blue dyed amherst or barred mallard feathers on the very front.
