Since its inception in 2004, I've worked with TU's Driftless Area Restoration Effort (DARE) in the unglaciated area of the Upper Mississippi Basin. This remarkable area features over 600 spring creeks with more than 4,500 miles of trout water in southwestern Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota and northeastern Iowa. We've brought together an extraordinary group of partners and carried out scores of restoration projects, expanding public stream access across the region by more than 250 miles.
